Tail Post/Weight is a single unit that provides both tail
weight and tail post functions.

Post on this unit has a standard effective
standard range from 17.5" through 39.5" of adjustment
. This dimension may be extended further
as needed with extensions sold separately.
Custom length extensions are also available.

maximum adaptability, our
telescoping post adjusts and pins in 3" increments.
- Each unit
comes equipped with hard rubber encased swivel wheels.
These wheels are
heavy duty and impact resistant 3"
swivel casters featuring a cushioned rubber tread bonded
to a rugged cast iron core. As each has a capacity
of 275 lbs., these wheels have proven ideal for shops
having painted floors. They also work well on rough
chip-littered floors.

tail weight that does double duty equally well. This Tail
Weight/Stand offered by KHWMI/Aircraftjacks.com is a tail
weight boasting a finished weight of at least 375lbs.
This unit by design, conveniently doubles as a tail post stand
for applications as needed.
Even at 375
lbs., this device may be easily moved about the shop on its
four heavy-duty rubber treaded, cast iron cored swivel
casters*. Especially important in some shops, is the
fact that the rubber treads will not damage painted floors, as
will any hard steel wheels. These casters are of a
premium quality and will endure all of the demands placed on them.
The unique
feature of our design is that we accommodate both compression AND torsion
loads within a single unit. This makes for a much safer
and more professional approach to safely securing the tail of
an aircraft undergoing maintenance. It is also a much
more convenient and practical approach to maintenance -
especially when considering the space saving benefits of this
unit.
Shipped in
kit form, the KHWMI Tail Weight/Stand is quickly and easily
assembled and weighted using six 60 lb. bags of Sakrete® or
concrete, obtained locally.
